Appearance: Akihiko's fairly tall for a boxer. He has gray eyes and gray hair, and a fairly lean build developed from years of relentless training. He always wears his trademark band-aid taped above his left brow, both as a good-luck charm and a reminder of his more...reckless years.

Back in his home world, Akihiko was always dressed in the prim, conservative uniforms his school mandated. He became attached to the style, and nowadays, still wears his classy dress shirt and red vest.

Persona: At first glance, Sanada Akihiko seems like a calm, confident guy with way too much self-possession for someone his age. People tend to be deceived by the casual attitude he adopts (especially during missions), but he's actually extremely dedicated to his training - to the point where it almost becomes an obsession. Akihiko will never accept harm coming to anyone else, but he doesn't actually care much for his own life. The deaths of his sister and closest friend have matured him, and he's always the most conscientious - and least upset - in the face of his own mortality.

Unfortunately, Akihiko's one-track mentality doesn't inspire much hope in the dating department. He's utterly oblivious when girls are coming onto him, and - although he prides himself on being a fighter aware of his surroundings - won't even notice if someone's trying left and right to catch his attention.

At the end of the day, Akihiko just wants to be capable of protecting those in need.

Strengths, Abilities & Weapons: Sanada Akihiko didn't become captain of the boxing team by sitting back, relaxing and letting others do the work. He trains hard and often, and is reputed to be quite an agile boxer. In battle, he prefers to attack using gloves and claws, and - when he summons his Persona, the Emperor arcanum - he is able to cast minor lightning and debuff spells. With his Never-Back-Down attitude and natural ease of movement, Akihiko rarely fumbles on the battlefield.

Weaknesses: In his home world, Akihiko often treated fighting as a game and acted recklessly. Unless he summons his Persona (which takes a considerable chunk of energy), he cannot do any long-distance or 'ranged' fighting. Although he never seems to be serious about his battles, he feels as if he has little time to spare anything else. Akihiko is only fearless in the face of mortality because he doesn't care - or, rather, won't really be upset - if he dies.

Notable Possessions: An "Evoker", which is really just a handgun-lookalike that allows him to summon his Persona by shooting himself in the head. (Note: Not actually a working firearm.)

History: Akihiko has no knowledge of his real birthplace, or even who his parents are. He and his sister stayed at an orphanage for most of their early childhood, until she died one day of an illness. He met his closest friend, Shinjiro at the orphanage, and the two boys relied on each other for almost everything - whether it was training, backup, or fending off older orphans who found tormenting the younger abandonments amusing.

As he grew up, Akihiko blindly believed he would've been able to save his sister from death if he'd been stronger. He began training himself relentlessly, from jogging in the morning to boxing during his free time. When he and Shinjiro enrolled into Gekkoukan High, they realized they were two of the select individuals who could summon Personas - alter egos from the Arcana tarot deck - to aid them during battle. At the time, the three Persona users - Akihiko, his friend Shinjiro, and a ruthless honour student named Mitsuru - formed S.E.E.S., short for 'Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad' to protect the students in Gekkoukan High from Shadows.
